Cairngorms Wildlife

The Cairngorms National Park is home to 25% of the UK's most threatened bird, animal and plant species. Ptarmigan are present throughout the Cairngorms at a greater density than even the Artic, whilst more Snow Bunting and Dotterel nest on the high plateaux than on any other Scottish hills.

Wildlife at Easter Corrie

During the spring Black Grouse can be heard lekking from our cottages on still mornings. Curlew, Oystercatcher, Lapwing and Snipe all nest within a short distance of the Mill and Steading at that time of year. Other Species found on Glenlivet Estate include:
